Business After Hours - a free monthly networking function that allows Chamber members to showcase their business to a fellow members, their guests, potential new client base.
Guests have the opportunity to see the workings of the host business while networking and promoting their own businesses.
The Business After Hours events prove a popular way for local people to learn about the products and services of Carnarvon businesses in a social environment. Each month, a different member will host the event and an informative guest speaker will be invited to give a brief speech on their business or their industry.
Where appropriate, tours of the premises should also be encouraged and this gives an opportunity for additional questions to be answered and more information given to those in the group with a special interest in the host business.
Responsibilities - Business after Hours
Carnarvon Chamber of Commerce
•We will promote the event, through advertising and emails to Chamber members.
•A Chamber executive will be the MC for the night and will introduce your nominated speaker/presenter
•Will prepare an invitation in both PDF and JPEG format for email and advertising
•Organise a venue (the Chamber can provide a list of members with entertainment capability)
•Manage RVSPs (please include in invitation flyer)
•We strongly recommend the Host Business provide some refreshments (beer, wine, water and softdrink, glasses, plates/serviettes and finger food) Some businesses spend a lot – others a little – the choice is yours
•Giving out clip on or stick on name tags as your guests arrive will help to make newcomers feel more welcome and encourage them to mix more freely. These can be made up in advance from the RSVP list
•Advise guests of any special requirements if visiting the business premises (clothing and footwear needs etc)
